Writer's Week: Directed by distinguished faculty members, this one week commuter writing program allows students in grades 9-12 to explore creative writing in a non-competitive and supportive environment that values the risks and adventure of the creative process.
Code Community: Students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade this fall take a deep dive into Assistive Technology design in this three week intensive. They learn basic coding and hardware skills to design and prototype a device for the children of the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, a residential center for children with medically complex needs.
Filmmaker's Collective: run in collaboration with the International Film Institute of New York, this 5-week program offers students of all ages hands-on experience in writing, directing, production, and post-production.
Writer's Village: this 3-week intensive immerses students (age 14+) in the craft of writing through workshops, readings, craft talks, and free writing exercises.
Summer Seminar for Writers: a 1-weeklong seminar for adult writers (21+) to experience the Sarah Lawrence pedagogy, work with faculty, and to spend a week in a stimulating, supportive writing atmosphere.
Social Justice Collective: an immersion program for 10th, 11th, or 12th grade students to explore social justice activism through theoretical, historical, and contemporary perspectives on race, class, gender, and LGBTQ issues. Visiting artists in writing, filmmaking, photography and theatre guide students in creating new work.
